Gratifying tourists with its picture-perfect locations, Mussoorie is a gorgeous hill station in India. Visit Mussoorie in Uttarakhand to capture the dramatic views of the Dehradun valley and snowy peaks.

Visiting any hill station of India is always a delight. With its lush green hills, refreshing ambience and breathtaking views of nature, it took away my heart when I visited Mussoorie along with Kedal and Shijao, my best travel buddies.

We visited the hill station from Delhi by road and it was a good experience of witnessing the gorgeous vistas of nature. Our first halt was at Dehradun where we got enchanted to see the splendour of Garhwall hills.

It started drizzling when we entered Mussoorie city and luckily we reached hotel before it rained heavily. The clean Mall Road welcomed us and we were filled with happiness. The view of the Doon Valley from the road was simply enchanting. After check in, we took rest for a while but the excitement to explore the town insisted us to move out soon. We gobbled our food at hotel and left for the Mussoorie sightseeing.

Forming an important part of Mussoorie tourism, Gun Hill was the first place, we visited. This rope way station lies at the end of the Road. We simply enjoyed this 400 m journey to the hill. It boasts of being the 2nd highest point of the town. The Gun point enabled us to capture the panoramic views of the beautiful hill town and the Himalayan ranges as well. The cloudy ambience further increased our joy.

We came back and relished dinner while sharing our experience of the day. Our next morning was dedicated to a visit to Municipal Garden, lying 4 km from Library point. There was an entry fee for the garden. It was well maintained and the long pines, a small canal and green house with gorgeous orchids altogether were enhancing its charm. Being a nature lover, I truly enjoyed the place.

A walk on the camel back road was next part of our travel to Mussoorie. Starting from Library Bazaar, it concludes at Kulri Bazaar. A refreshing ambience greeted us. We visited Kempty Falls, which was a bit crowded. Plunging its way from 40 ft from mountain, the gorgeous waterfall left us refreshed with a short bath while on our Mussoorie tour. It is the largest of the five cascades, emerging down from the mountains to flow down different huge rocks into the plains.

Serving among the popular attractions in Mussoorie, the Mall is the place where we went for shopping. I bought woollens for my family whereas my companions picked some souvenirs. We also had delicious paranthas and locally prepared ice creams after shopping.

It was a short but memorable trip to Mussoorie that transformed me into a refreshed person.
